Connected & Futuristic
John (with an h) is our west coast creative connection - cousins of Jim, Jon, and Julie. John believes a common creative spark was passed down to them all from their grandfather.
John learned his craft by digging deeply into every possible medium from watercolor on bristol, to 3D modeling on a computer workstation and everything in between. His first love is transforming information into something playful and beautiful to see, touch and absorb. "Information is beautiful," he says.
The computer screen is John's ultimate playground and he never tires of inventing new ways to interact with it. From the look of Apple's Introduction to Desktop Publishing, to the RealPlayer and RealJukebox, to the NASA mobile app, John's look & feel has been seen by millions - and this makes him smile.
John's proudest moment: "Designing the 'skin' for the first MP3 audio player on the internet; actually, I think I was one of the first to use that name for a user interface."
After many years of discussing the idea, we are so pleased that John has officially joined forces with us. Manifest destiny, complete!
What makes a great brand: "Quality and consistency."
